Custom Art is the studio where we are happy to help ceate the perfect, unique tattoo that may only exist in your mind so far!

Whether you already have a design you are happy with, have a rough sketch that needs improvement, or simply have an idea for a tattoo and need an artist to draw it, just ask, and we can probably make it happen. Why pick something from a book or the wall when you could have something unique? We do have off-the-peg designs for those who prefer them, however. Feel free to come and browse our walls.

Hygiene is always a priority at Custom Art.

Brand new sterile needles are used for each tattoo, and are opened in front of the client for their peace of mind. The treatment room is kept spotlessly clean and cross-contamination is avoided through such good practices as frequent hand-washing and glove-changing; simple things which still seem to be neglected by too many artists!

Custom Art was started by Ash, who, with 9 years' experience as a professional tattoo artist and body piercer, is competent in a wide range of tattooing styles. Ash particularly enjoys creating japanese style tattoos, floral designs, blackwork/tribal and other abstract styles. Ash is vegan, and has worked hard to locate vegan inks and after-care products of the highest quality.

The usual opening times are Monday to Saturday from 11am until 5.30pm.

Sometimes Ash works on Sunday too. This doesn't mean that we do "walk-ins" the rest of the week, what it means is that you are welcome to make enquiries/appointments mon-sat 11am-5.30pm but Sundays are a chill-out day when nobody without a booking (plus friend if they would like to bring one) is welcome in the studio. As you can imagine, this relaxed, private vibe is very popular, so if you would like a Sunday appointment it's best to come and book at least 8 weeks in advance.
